It is pleasure to share with you the program of the next 9th International Conference of Optometry and Visual Science (CIOCV2012).

The academic and scientific activity around our profession has been changing rapidly during the last decade. Now, with spread of MSc and PhD Degrees in Advanced Optometry and Visual Science around Europe, we have assisted to a rapid development of research work whose results are about to change some aspects of our practice. Indeed, this is the ultimate goal of research, to develop new knowledge to improve the future practice.

Considering this, nothing better than an international conference with the credits the CIOCV has gained during the last 8 years to find the latest research results, clinical practice guidelines and new instrumentation that will certainly improve the care we deliver to our patients.

Joining the CIOCV2012 you will enjoy a high quality Scientific Program, a new Internet interface with new tools including an easier registration and payment platform and much more.

Aware of the difficulties imposed by the economic environment, the registration fees have been reduced by 20% for practitioners and we have established new partnerships with hotels to reduce the accommodation costs of CIOCV2012 attendees. This is a great challenge for the Organizing Committee but we could not miss this chance to facilitate everyone the possibility to attend this continuing education opportunity.
